Adepteo joined London restaurant group Pied à Terre and Masabi – the software developer that closed a deal with trainline.com in May – as winners of the Digital Entrepreneur awards, hailed as the only national stage in the UK dedicated to recognising online business excellence.
The Tottington-based telecoms firm picked up the award for Digital Employer of the Year. Adepteo provides cloud-based services including VoIP, fax, SMS and e-commerce to SMEs across all sectors.
Carl Taylor – Founder of Adepteo said “It has been great privilege being chosen for this award and is a great way to end 2010 and to start a year of growth in 2011”
During 2010 Adepteo worked with Bury college to help students prepare for their IT career. The first event was as part of a careers evening and this lead to us running three sessions on CV writing and job applications. For this we provided a mock up website and set the students the task of selecting someone to interview and then we critiqued and compared their choices. In all cases they missed who Carl considered to be the best candidates and all students decided to re-write their Cvs. We hope to repeat this in 2011.
Carl said “My overall aim is to create a desire for employees to want to become a part of our team and engender an expectation of creativity from the first contact with the company.”
